明日（5日）は社内研修です。ハードスケジュールではありますが、この日ばかりはドレス・コードなし！です。なし！といわれたら、逆に何を着ていこうか、ワードローブの前で悩んでしまうものです。真面目～な研修で緊張しますが、でも部署をまたいで社員みんなで一緒に何かするというのはあまりないので、心なしかわくわくもしています。beoキャリアの藤井です♪

イギリスで厳しくなったビザ申請については、選挙の影響なきにしもあらずといわれています。オーストラリアの総選挙が今月21日に予定されています。地球温暖化対策のほかに、不法難民対策などが争点になると新聞で読みました。おーこれはイギリスの二の舞か、と不吉な予感がしていたのですが、早速マッコーリー大学から、7月27日付けで、'Australian Federal Election Update'という件名でメールが届きました。

Australia is approaching a Federal Election on 21st August 2010 and election campaigning is underway across the country.

There have been various policies discussed as part of this election campaign by all political parties concerning many aspects of life in Australia. One area for recent media coverage has been that of immigration, with border secrity and illegal migration policy being a point for discussion.

I would like to reassure you that these are merely debates, not policy decisions, and there has been no change to international education or visa policy. I would like to reiterate that we recognise the immense value of international student education in Australia and its benefit in strengthening international relations and cross-cultural understanding.
